The 2026-2027 Avonworth School Calendar

The 2026–2027 school calendar has been approved! This year, we’re sharing two versions with our families.

The first is our traditional one-page overview that includes all important dates for faculty, staff, students, and families.

The second is a new option based on feedback from parents and caregivers. To make planning easier, we’ve created a family-friendly calendar that clearly highlights when students are in school — and when they’re not. Our hope is that this version offers a quick, easy way to stay organized throughout the year.

We hope you find both formats helpful!

“Super Nolan” Honored With Trucks for Tots Drive

Avonworth Education Support Professionals —union officers Becky Marszalek, Lisa Stevens, Courtney Carpenter, and Stephanie Barbour—recently organized a heartfelt Trucks for Tots drive in memory of a beloved truck-loving student, affectionately known as “Super Nolan.”

What began as a simple conversation quickly grew into a meaningful districtwide effort. Donation bins were set up at all three campuses, and the response was overwhelming. Staff, families, community members, and even out-of-state supporters contributed toy trucks to help honor Nolan’s joyful spirit.

On December 4, in celebration of Nolan’s life, the collected trucks were delivered to the Ohio Township Volunteer Fire Company for their Toys for Tots holiday drive. Each donated truck symbolizes a smile from Nolan and will brighten the season for a child in need.

This project reflects the compassion and unity of the Avonworth community—and the lasting impact one child’s love for trucks continues to inspire.

Student Ambassadors Shine at the PBIS Student Summit

Our Student Ambassadors proudly represented Avonworth Primary Center at the Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS) Student Summit. As the youngest student team in attendance, they made a remarkable impression on educators, presenters, and fellow students from across the region.

Throughout the summit, our ambassadors demonstrated confidence, leadership, and a strong understanding of our APCS program. They shared how our school promotes positive behavior, builds a supportive community, and encourages students to succeed through our PBIS framework.

In addition to presenting, the students participated in collaborative activities and breakout sessions, where they gathered new ideas and best practices to bring back to APC. Their enthusiasm for strengthening our school’s PBIS efforts is a testament to their commitment to making our community even stronger.

We are proud of our Student Ambassadors for their hard work and professionalism. Their voices and leadership make a meaningful difference at APC!
